Secure, reliable, proven – real time off-site data storage
In the event of a technical failure, be it big or small, the security of your organisation’s critical data is of paramount importance. LANKonnect Replicate facilitates the disaster recovery process with its specific data replication module, utilising a high speed communication infrastructure, combined with up-to-date data replication software and a multi terabyte, fault-tolerant storage system.
By combining LANKonnect and LANKonnect Replicate services, customers can host anything from a directory of business critical data to a complete replicated network environment, depending on the size of your organisation’s environment. In the event of a disaster, this data is made available to the remaining LANKonnect remote sites and, if needed, published to any remote user via the LANKonnect Mobile service.
LANKonnect Replicate makes use of high speed (SDSL +) connectivity from the customer premises to the LANKonnect backbone. With an established communication link, each customer server that is to be replicated by the service has a small agent installed allowing it to connect to the central Replicate storage cluster. Utilising up-to-the-minute software replication, an efficient replication set is created, only replicating changed data at the byte level. Once on the Replicate storage cluster, each replicated server remains secure and separated from any other data sets. The service performs either near real time replication, or if preferred, scheduled overnight synchronisation. In the event of a disaster the customer can request a copy of their data to be shipped to a location of their choice (within the UK) within their agreed SLA requirements.
