Firewall Protected Internet Access for Central Pipes
Central Pipe and Co-Locate customers can take advantage of a secure Internet feed for both inbound and outbound Internet access. The service operates through a series of cluster-enabled, carrier grade firewalls,
providing you with an active/passive high availability
solution for your core Internet services.
We provide your network with 100Mbit/s connection of Internet transit. The service is priced with a base package of 2Mbit/s which gives customers a service capable of bursting up to 100Mbit/s. Customers are billed based on the industry standard 95th Percentile Rule for bandwidth usage. Based on this scheme, the additional burst usage is billed monthly in arrears for each Mbit/s used over the base allocation.
Firewall Protected Internet Access for Remote Tails
Like the Central Pipe option it provides a secure Internet feed for Remote Tail sites through the LANKonnect Cluster Firewalls. Unlike the Central Pipe option, the Remote Tail Internet Access service provides a fixed cost per annum charge for Internet access for each site. This enables organisations to effectively provide a centrally controlled firewall service for all of their LANKonnect Remote Tail sites.
